Savills: Caryn Donahue

Estate agent Savills has appointed Caryn Donahue as a director in the operational capital markets (OCM) division, as head of senior housing transactions.

Based at the firm’s head office in London, Donahue will focus on larger senior living and healthcare transactions including their financing and structuring.

Donahue joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a partner and head of its UK retirement living team. Earlier she worked in Cushman’s equity, debt and structured finance team focused on senior housing capital markets based in Boston in the US having joined from J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Peter Allen, executive director and head of Savills OCM division, said: “Caryn has a wealth of expertise across the senior living and healthcare sectors and we are absolutely delighted to welcome her to our team. Her passion and drive will be a huge asset for our team and for our clients.”

Donahue commented: “I am hugely excited to be joining the market-leading OCM division at Savills, partnering with Sam Rowland to help continue to grow our offering in the senior living and healthcare sectors. There is a clear lack of supply of high-quality housing for seniors in the UK and I look forward to continuing to work with investor, operator and developer clients to facilitate increased investment into the sector.”
