Independent hospital group Schoen Clinic UK Group has appointed Dr Tim Wigmore as group medical director.

Wigmore has been the medical director at Schoen Clinic London since it opened in 2018. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the NHS as a consultant anaesthetist in intensive care, researcher and senior medical manager at The Royal Marsden.

Andy Davey, Schoen Clinic’s UK managing director said: “This appointment is a significant one for us, as specialisation, patient safety, clinical governance and quality outcomes for our patients is of paramount importance. Dr Wigmore strives for exceptional standards in the delivery of healthcare and will be leading on the next stage of our quality agenda.”

Wigmore will remain involved in the medical leadership of Schoen Clinic London, responsible for clinical, quality and governance standards at all Schoen Clinic UK sites.

Dr Tony Winston will continue to be the medical director for the mental health division, providing specialist consultant leadership in conjunction with Wigmore. Between them, they are tasked with developing medical governance processes and strengthening consultant relationships.
