Richard Wright has joined Sphere Medical as chief financial officer.

Wright was formerly finance director of pharmaceutical company Alliance Pharma, a role he held between 2007 and 2015.

Sphere Medical chief executive Dr Wolfgang Rencken said: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Richard's calibre. His track record of managing Alliance Pharma through a strong commercial growth phase, as well as his extensive experience in negotiating and implementing numerous commercial deals, will strengthen our executive management team as we continue with the commercialisation of [blood gas monitoring system] Proxima.”
