Private hospitals operator Spire Healthcare Group has announced its deputy chairman John Gildersleeve is to step down from his role at the company.
Spire cited “personal reasons” for Gildersleeve’s departure, however, he will remain on the board until a replacement is appointed, which the company anticipates happening by the end of 2016.
Gildersleeve, also a senior independent director, follows chief executive Rob Roger out of Spire, who announced he will step down in June 2016. Roger was named as the most influential leader in the independent healthcare sector at the HealthInvestor ‘Power Fifty 2015’ in November.
The company announced in March 2016 that its revenues climbed 3.4% in 2015, in line with its previously downgraded growth expectations.
