Real estateStoriiCare: Robert Kilgour
Robert Kilgour, the original founder of Four Seasons Health Care, has been appointed non-executive director at Scottish start-up StoriiCare. Kilgour (pictured) also made a five-figure investment in the tech company.
After a financial exit from Four Seasons in 2005, Kilgour now owns Musselburgh-based Renaissance Care and is chief executive of Edinburgh-headquartered Dow Investments.
StoriiCare’s technology is used by a number of privately-owned and council operated care providers across the UK. Its platform provides what the company refers to as a “life story and reminiscence tool” for dementia patients, their carers and families.
Founder and chief executive Cameron Graham, a graduate of Strathclyde University, recently secured a fully funded place on WeAreTheFuture’s 2017 Silicon Valley Accelerate programme in San Francisco.
Kilgour commented: “I am delighted to be both investing in and joining Cameron and his excellent team – their energy and enthusiasm is infectious and I look forward to us working together and having an exciting and productive time ahead.”
Graham said: “Robert's appointment and investment is a great step forward for StoriiCare as we continue to build the business. His outstanding career, extensive experience and tested judgement in the care sector will prove invaluable.”
