Health tech firm The Sync Project has hired Marko Ahtisaari as chief executive.

Ahtisaari was head of design at Nokia from 2009 to 2013.

He is also a director’s fellow at disruptive technology firm MIT Media Lab.

Sync Project board member Joi Ito said: “Marko is a great example of an entrepreneur bridging design, science and art. He is a skilled product strategist and leader, and we're excited to have him lead The Sync Project.”
