Thorn Medical: Lord Beaverbrook

Thorn Medical has appointed Max Aitken, Lord Beaverbrook, as chairman to its board. Beaverbrook replaces Jack Kaye, who has become company chief executive.

Beaverbrook also holds roles as chairman of Cherif Investment Properties and also a director of Ansgate Barnes Holdco.

Before that, he was chairman of Toronto-based Net Integration Technologies, now part of IBM. He served as a Lord-in -Waiting and a treasurer for the Conservative Party as well.

Jack Kaye, chief executive of Thorn Medical, said: “His [Beaverbrook’s] experience in international operations in the medical and technology fields will be a major asset to Thorn Medical as it pursues its mission to break down barriers to providing more efficient and effective healthcare worldwide.”

Thorn Medical is a holding company for a group of healthcare focused companies such as Radley Pharma and Health Village Plus.
