United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA), the professional association for domiciliary care providers, has announced the appointment to its board of three non-executive directors.
David Chalk of Windrush Care in Gloucestershire, Lynn James of Carebridge Staffing in Kent and Gavin Stedman-Bryce of Beyond Homecare in East Lothian all join the board. Stedman-Bryce will represent UKHCA members in Scotland.
The appointments were made following election at its annual general meeting on 10 October. At the same time, Trevor Brocklebank of Home Instead Senior Care was appointed as chair, replacing the office holder of 11 years, Mike Padgham.
In addition, following UKHCA’s board meeting on 11 October, Somerset Care’s Jane Townson was appointed as vice chair.
Chalk commented: “I am delighted to have been elected to the UKHCA board. As a relatively new business, I have found membership of UKHCA invaluable in getting established and hope to be able to use my position to help UKHCA further support providers, raising the profile of homecare and the status of care workers.
James added: “I am committed to doing all I can to assist members and UKHCA at such a challenging time for the homecare sector.”
Stedman-Bryce said: “As representative for Scotland, I plan to help increase UKHCA membership to ensure that our sector remains informed and engaged, in both the UK and Scottish Government policy debates.”
