MTX wins projects at Royal Bolton and Clatterbridge hospitals

Modular healthcare building firm MTX has been awarded two projects in the Northwest, at the Royal Bolton Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital to expand their facilities and capacity, including new theatres will help to reduce the backlog of appointments from the pandemic.

This is MTX’s second project with Royal Bolton Hospital having previously delivered a urology department and A&E extension in 2018. The new project is a single-storey theatre development, encompassing two theatres with all necessary ancillary, ward accommodation and plant room.

Clatterbridge Hospital, located on The Wirral includes the delivery of a two-storey scheme comprising of two theatres, a 12-bay recovery suite, first-floor plant room, plus all the necessary ancillary required at the hospital.

David Hartley, managing director at MTX, said: “This continues a four-year relationship with the Royal Bolton Hospital, and the start of a new one with Clatterbridge Hospital, and I’m incredibly proud of the MTX team, as this is testament to their ongoing hard work and expertise. The new facilities will help increase capacity to help ease the backlogs and shorten delays for operations, treatments and screenings.”
