Promedica24 and Mirthy team up

Domiciliary care provider Promedica24 has signed a new partnership with Mirthy, an online events web platform that enables older adults to stay active whilst remaining independent at home. HealthInvestor UK talks to Mirthy’s chief executive Alex Ramamurthy to find out more.

With the collaboration, Promedica24 will be able to deliver events for people in the comfort of their own home with on-going support available from their live-in carer.

Ramamurthy says: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Promedica24 by providing full access to the Mirthy platform and events programme for its clients to enjoy at home.

“Mirthy helps people to learn, laugh and live life to the fullest in retirement. We run more than 100 online events every month covering a variety of health and wellbeing activities and learning interests. Over 40,000 members have joined Mirthy since launching, many of whom are housebound.

“Promedica24 have spearheaded the opportunity within the home care and live in care market, and we look forward to developing this partnership further.”

Founded in 2004, the ForeVest-backed Promedica24 is a Pan-European domiciliary care provider. The group has around 3,000 contracts in Germany, which generate around 95% of its revenue, 200 contracts in the UK, and 150 contracts in Poland.

Mirthy was launched in June 2021. Backed by a caring team, Mirthy has created an inclusive community where people can share, connect and feel the comfort of being around others through fun, sociable and fulfilling activities.

Mirthy was a runner up of the Tech to Connect Challenge 2020.
