Specialist residential care provider Renal Health has bought care home provider Century Healthcare as part of its acquisition and growth programme.

Century Healthcare will continue to operate across its eight sites in the North West. Founded in 1998, it offers residential, nursing, specialist dementia care units with respite and short stay.

Newcastle-based Renal Health is a specialist care provider, owning and operating care homes in the North East of England.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. HealthInvestor UK is told that the valuer involved in the transaction was Knight Frank.

The company says the deal was supported by an eight-figure funding package. Montane Finance, an independent broker supporting the healthcare sector, oversaw the purchase of Century Healthcare by Renal Health.
