Global investment firm Permira has appointed Jason Wreath as a senior adviser to its global healthcare team.
Wreath has more than two decades’ experience in technology and life sciences. He is currently the worldwide head of data and AI solutions at Amazon Web Services, where he leads the development and implementation of solutions to business challenges for a range of industry and technology use cases, including healthcare.
Wreath began his career as a pharmaceutical chemist and has since established himself at the intersection of pharma and technology. He has held a variety of leadership roles in healthcare-focused start-ups and global tech companies, including Symphony Health, Veeva Systems, HIK, HealthTap, and Kythera Labs.
Wreath has been working with Permira’s healthcare and technology teams since 2019, initially on supporting thesis development for new opportunities, and over time he has developed his relationship and advisory work across the portfolio. He currently sits on the Ergomed Tech Council and has been involved in advising PharmaCord and Mercalis on the long-term tech strategy for the combined business.
