Active Care Group, which provides complex care services for children, young people and adults, has appointed clinical leads across mental health, neurological conditions, autism and learning disabilities, and a professional lead for therapies.
The appointments form part of The Huntercombe Group joining Active Care Group following a merger on 24 December last year.
Dr Nishchint Warikoo and Aimee Huxley have been appointed clinical leads for mental health. Warikoo is a child and adolescent consultant psychiatrist, with more than 10 years’ experience treating all child and adolescent mental health conditions. He has experience in delivering various psychological therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive analytic therapy and family therapy.
Huxley has 15 years’ experience as a registered mental health nurse working in quality and assurance across brain injury services, child and adolescent mental health services, and adult mental health.
Dr Louise Reid and Dr Jyoti Evans have been appointed clinical leads for neurological conditions, Reid is a consultant clinical neuropsychologist and has experience in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Evans has experience in neurology, having worked within medium secure forensic neuropsychiatry services, and in a major trauma hospital’s neurosciences department.
Nina Bailey has been appointed clinical lead for autism and learning disability. Bailey has 19 years’ experience in management and nursing roles as a registered learning disability nurse.
Gerry Roxburgh has been appointed professional lead for therapies. She has 25 years’ experience in therapy and rehabilitation and is an expert in the assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders, management of complex speech and language disorders and challenging behaviour following brain injury.
