Independent global mid-market investment banking firm Alantra has appointed Nick Johnston as a senior advisor in its healthcare sector team, which comprises more than 30 professionals across Europe, the US and Asia who have completed more than 20 deals over the past year. will be based in London.
Johnston’s 25-year career spans both investment banking advisory and industry positions in the UK and US. He has held senior positions in the healthcare investment banking teams at Perella Weinberg and J.P. Morgan advising companies across multiple subsectors with a particular focus in biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics and digital health. He was also chief operating officer of a specialist medical device developer and co-founded a development-stage drug discovery company in respiratory health and other indications. He also sits on the board of a medical device company.
