Retirement housing provider Audley Group has appointed Emma Robinson as health and wellness director to head up all aspects of health and wellness across the Audley Group, reporting to chief executive Nick Sanderson.

Robinson’s role will be to develop strategy to promote the growth of wellness across Audley and Mayfield villages, to enhance physical, nutritional and mental and emotional wellbeing to support healthy and vibrant lifestyles.

Robinson has had a global career focused on health, welfare and wellbeing, working in government, higher education and private sector across Australia, Italy and the UK. Most recently she was dean of students within the UK higher education sector, developing holistic health and wellbeing programmes and initiatives for a diverse student population.

Robinson said: “I’m passionate about supporting people to look at their health in a comprehensive way and enabling them to take control to allow them to live the best life possible. Health is absolutely intertwined with quality of life and Audley’s mission to help people live better for longer really chimed with my own beliefs and values. Audley’s approach to health as we age feels transformational and I’m committed to using my experience to contribute to Audley’ continuing success.”

Sanderson commented: “We have long committed to an integrated approach to health and wellness in our villages, and with Emma’s appointment we have found the right leader to take that approach to the next level. As a sector, we need to be moving beyond care, to look at every aspect of life and help people maintain their health and independence for as long as possible. Emma’s expertise across the health and wellness sector will be invaluable as we unveil our holistic strategy for 2024 and beyond.”
