Investment manager Downing has appointed Torsten Mack as investment director to its growing healthcare team.
Mack assumes responsibility for origination, transaction and portfolio management of growth and development capital investments in the healthcare sector, with a focus on elderly residential care, specialist care, specialist education and children’s nurseries.
He has over 20 years’ experience as an investment professional. Most recently, he was an owner and the commercial director of specialist education provider the Aurora Group. Mack was previously a principal at global private equity fund BC Partners and, before that, director of corporate development at the Priory Group, the independent provider of behavioural care.
