Ernst & Young (EY) has appointed Hugo Mascie-Taylor as executive medical director of its healthcare practice.

Mascie -Taylor joined EY from Monitor (now NHS Improvement), where he had held the medical director’s position from 2014. He has also previously been medical director at the NHS Confederation, executive medical director at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and medical director and director of commissioning at Leeds Health Authority.

EY healthcare partner Richard Lewis said: “Hugo is one of the most experienced clinical voices and I am proud to be welcoming him to the team. He will play a central role in consolidating and strengthening our work supporting trusts to improve their performance in the near and medium term.”
