Greensleeves Care: Des Kelly, Dallas Pounds and Kim Davies

Greensleeves Care, the not-for-profit care operator, has appointed three new trustees to its board.

Des Kelly was executive director of the National Care Forum from 2003 until his retirement in 2016. He was the founder chair of the Care Provider Alliance and is currently chair of charity the Centre for Policy on Ageing. Kelly is also a director of Skills for Care and the Residential Forum.

Dallas Pounds first joined the charity sector in 2010 and in 2013 became chief executive officer at the Royal Trinity Hospice in London. She qualified as a nurse in 1989 and was a specialist in palliative and end of life care before taking on leadership and management roles in the NHS.

Kim Davies joins the board with over 20 years of property and facilities management experience within the financial services sector. She is currently director of group real estate at Legal & General.

Chris Shaw, chairman of the board of trustees at Greensleeves Care, said: “I am delighted to welcome three eminent, new trustees to the Board. Their backgrounds and experience enhance the skills we require to continue our successful strategy of delivering excellent care to an increasing number of older people around the country.”

Greensleeves Care recently secured the largest ever retail charity bond raise, closing two weeks early at £33 million, with a further £17 million facility available.
