The Homecare Association, the membership body for homecare providers, has appointed Jon Stone as director of corporate services, effective 3 October.

Stone is currently executive director of corporate services at Parentkind, the membership organisation for UK parent teacher associations, responsible for operations, HR, governance, systems, including IT, and finance. Before that he was head of operations at Merton Voluntary Service Council, manager of Deen City Farm, and head of operations at The Orpheus Centre, a residential performing arts centre for young disabled artists.

Homecare Association chief executive Dr Jane Townson said: “Jon brings a wealth of relevant experience to the Homecare Association and his background, skills and personal attributes will enable him to make a valuable contribution to our work. Jon’s style is collaborative and supportive, and we are really looking forward to him being part of our team and helping with our mission to shape homecare together.”

Stone commented: “I recognise the importance of supporting and representing homecare providers and am thrilled to have the opportunity to assist with this work. Ensuring that an organisation’s operations, governance and finance processes run smoothly creates the stability necessary for sustainable growth. Continuing to add value to members will help the Association to expand its influence and impact and I look forward to contributing to delivery of the strategy and business plan.”
