London-based private equity investor LDC has appointed Amit Thaper as investment director, with a focus on the healthcare sector.

Thaper will be responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities in London with a focus on the healthcare sector and supporting the management teams of LDC’s portfolio businesses as they pursue their growth ambitions. He will work alongside LDC’s healthcare investors based across the UK.

Thaper began his career as an orthopaedic surgeon with the NHS before moving into private equity nearly 15 years ago. He joins from Cairngorm Capital Partners, where he was a managing director and spent eight years supporting mid-market healthcare businesses across the UK.
