Healthcare-focused advisory and consulting firm Marwood Group has appointed Dr Vikas Yadav as a member of its healthcare advisory team. Yadav is an orthopaedic surgeon and experienced strategic consultant with an MBA from INSEAD business school.

Yadav previously worked for a large German hospital services provider and has undertaken consulting roles for the NHS with a focus on financial and clinical quality improvement for clinical commissioning groups. He has also assisted private equity clients exploring healthcare-related assets in the UK by performing market sizing, commercial due diligence and competitor landscaping.

He was also a senior manager in Aetna International’s population health business, looking after strategic projects, business development and marketing.

Marwood has also appointed Jyoti Mehan (pictured) as director, business development. Mehan has experience consulting across multiple NHS trusts and advising clinical commissioning groups on key strategic decisions.

She has more than 13 years’ experience in healthcare consulting, including working across government organisations to agree system-wide policy and protocols, working hand-in-hand with commissioners and providers, designing and delivering complex programmes of work.

Most recently she was engaged by a mental health trust to design and deliver innovative service offers that maximise performance and meet Care Quality Commission requirements.

Mehan has a background in accountancy and a degree in business economics from the University of Leicester.
