Medneo: Ella Tracey

Ella Tracey

CVC DIF-backed Medneo, a provider of diagnostic imaging services to NHS trusts and private healthcare providers, has appointed Ella Tracey as chief executive, replacing the company’s founder Andy Spellman, who is stepping down.

Tracey was previously the company’s chief operating officer. She has track record of scaling businesses and experience in private healthcare, having worked in chief executive and managing director positions in oncology and fertility businesses including TFP Fertility, GenesisCare and OneStopDoctors.

Spellman said: “I’ve given this a lot of thought and I’ve decided the time is right for me to hand the baton over to Ella. My vision was to build a world-class imaging provider and our success is testament to the commitment, professionalism, and hard work of the talented team at Medneo. I’m immensely proud of all that we’ve achieved, and I wish Ella and the team every success on this next stage in the company’s growth journey.”

Medeno’s chair Steve Gray commented: “Andy has led the company with a passion and commitment from a start up to be the leader in quality imaging services in the UK. I want to thank him for all that he has done and for his continued support during this transition phase.

“With Ella’s extensive experience in driving growth and transformation, improving commercial performance, and enhancing customer and people experience, I have no doubt medneo will thrive under her leadership supported by the significant investment and backing of CVC DIF.”

Tracey said: “I’m excited and honoured to lead the incredibly talented team at Medneo as we drive forward the company’s ambitions and growth strategy together. There is a huge opportunity for us to play an even bigger role in supporting the UK health system, working with our strategic partners including NHS trusts and private providers and directly with consumers to improve patient health outcomes.”

Andy Spellman will remain as a board advisor.
