PharmaNew Care: Lisa Astley
New Care has appointed Lisa Astley as registered manager at Bridgewater Manor, the company’s latest care facility located in Worsley, tasked with the overall operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, its residents and staff.
The £15million 71-bedroom care home opened late last year and providers residential and dementia care services. It features fully furnished bedrooms, each with a private en suite wet room, plus communal lounges and dining rooms. It also has a nail bar, hairdresser, landscaped gardens and outdoor terraces to the first floor.
Astley has more than 17 years’ experience in care home management. She joined New Care 12 months ago and was previously the registered manager at the company’s Ashlands Manor care home in Sale.
She has been involved in Bridgewater Manor throughout the build process, and personally welcomed the first residents.
Astley said: “I have enjoyed being involved in the development of Bridgewater Manor and am delighted the care home is now open, with residents moving in regularly. New Care has an excellent reputation and I am committed to continuing this trend, delivering outstanding care to all residents at Bridgewater Manor.”
Chris McGoff, chief executive at New Care, added: “Lisa has already proved to be an exceptional home manager for New Care and we believe her knowledge of the company and her vast experience will ensure she establishes Bridgewater Manor, quickly positioning it as the care home of choice in Worsley.”
