NHS Strategic Projects Team (SPT) has announced its commercial director Martin Peat has retired and been replaced by Mark Perkins, effective from the first of July.

Perkins has been part of the team since 2013 and previously provided commercial leadership on numerous healthcare projects for the Department of Health Commercial Directorate, commissioners and providers.

NHS SPT managing director Andrew MacPherson said: “Martin Peat has been pivotal to SPT’s contribution to the NHS since 2009 and we are extremely grateful for the role he has played. Whilst he will continue be part of our advisory services and business expansion, Mark Perkins appointment offers an exciting opportunity to re-enforce our support to innovation and change in the NHS.”
