Spectrum Care: Amin Thobani and Rishad Datoo

London-based care suppliers’ purchasing network Spectrum Care has appointed Amin Thobani and Rishad Datoo to its board of directors, Care Home Professional has reported.

Thobani has seven years’ healthcare experience and is the director of Mary’s Home, a 35-bed mental health care home in Croydon. He has a further 20 years’ experience in property development, care home development and construction.

Datoo has a background in accounting and finance and has been a company director in the private healthcare sector for 12 years.

Spectrum Care’s chairman Arif Pradhan said: “Their wealth of knowledge and dedication in bettering the industry will help support and guide fellow care managers, owners and operators on their journeys.

“Amin has trained the last year for the post, attending board meetings and contributing to moving Spectrum forward as a company. Now officially a director, he will help to cultivate innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of Spectrum, uphold open and transparent communication with our members and suppliers, and focus on our strategic growth.

“Rishad is driven by a commitment to excellence, a passion for innovation, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities he serves. He has a proven track record in commissioning care homes from scratch, navigating the complexities of facility setup, staffing, and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, his strategic vision, coupled with hands-on experience, has enabled him to lead healthcare organisations through periods of growth and transformation, which will be greatly beneficial to our members.”

Datoo said: “I’m excited about the future of healthcare and am dedicated to leveraging my unique blend of financial expertise and operational experience to contribute positively to the industry. My goal is to continue driving healthcare organisations towards sustainable growth, financial stability, and, most importantly, the delivery of exceptional patient care.”
