Independent hospital group Spire Healthcare has appointed Shelley Thomas as its group HR director.

Thomas will assume responsibility for developing a standardised “people framework” for the group’s 11,500 UK employees across Spire Healthcare’s 39 hospitals and 11 clinics.

Thomas has previously worked as group organisational development and talent director and then interim group HR director at pub retailer Greene King, vice president, people at Asda, and interim HR director, talent, academy and colleague engagement at Morrisons.
