The King’s Fund: Sally Warren

Health think tank The King’s Fund has announced Sally Warren as its new director of policy.

Prior to the appointment, Warren was the director of EU exit preparedness and response at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The previous director of policy, Richard Murray, became chief executive of The King’s Fund earlier this year.

Warren has extensive experience of health and care, having previously held positions at the Department of Health and Social Care, Public Health England, the Care Quality Commission and the Cabinet Office.

Richard Murray, chief executive of The King’s Fund, said: “I am thrilled that Sally will be joining The King’s Fund as director of policy. She brings an impressive breadth of experience having previously worked across public health, social care, and the NHS. Sally’s deep understanding of the health and care system will be a valuable asset for The King’s Fund as we develop and deliver our new five-year strategy.”

Warren said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining The King’s Fund at such an important time to secure improvements to health and care. It’s an exciting opportunity to draw on my experience across health care, social care and population health. I’m looking forward to working with The King’s Fund team and our partners throughout the sector.”
