Bevan Brittan: Monica Macheng
Bevan Brittan has appointed Monica Macheng as a partner within its corporate and commercial operations, based in Birmingham.
Macheng will mostly focus on private sector clients, especially within healthcare markets, and has wide experience of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, transactions, commercial contracts, financing and raising loan capital.
She was previously a partner at law firm Wright Hassall, where her experience included working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses, with a particular focus on health and care.
Macheng said: “I look forward to meeting and working with a range of new and existing clients to support them in their business ambitions, commercial arrangements and other strategic activity across a range of sectors – particularly with the private health environment and its interaction with the public sector.”
Bevan Brittan managing partner Duncan Weir added: “Private sector businesses represent an increasing proportion of Bevan Brittan’s revenues, and we are benefiting from the delivery of our clear strategy to broaden our markets and range of clients.”
The appointment raises the number of partners at Bevan Brittan in Birmingham to eight, out of 60 legal professionals based there.
