Investment company Octopus Group, which includes health and care property investor Octopus Healthcare, has appointed Helen Cowing as its chief financial officer.

Cowing has financial leadership experience at a range of private and publicly listed companies. She was most recently chief financial officer at construction services company ISG, and previously at American Golf, Fat Face and Selecta Group.

Octopus Group chief executive Simon Rogerson said: “Helen brings with her brilliant skills and experience to support our growth. Our businesses are working to transform the markets that really matter to people – whether it’s our health, financial wellbeing or our planet’s future. Our mission hasn’t changed and we have a massive opportunity as we increase our retail and institutional funds under management.”
